Elle s'intéresse également à la relation entre les biais cognitifs et la prise de décision morale.

Titre de sa présentation : The Impact of Explicit Political Decisions on Policy Preferences – Evidence from an experimental survey in Germany, article co-écrit avec Mark Andor et Lukas Tomberg.

Résumé : In this study, we investigate the impact of revealing hidden political decisions on public preferences. In our large-scale survey in Germany (N≈6000), respondents are split into a control and a treatment group and report their preferences for a heterogeneous set of transportation policies. The treatment group receives additional information compared to the control group, in the form of (i) policy trade-offs and hidden costs for “pull” measures, (ii) benefits and revenues use for “push” measures, and (iii) compensation packages for “push” measures. We find that in the control group, pull policies garner majority support, while push policies face general opposition. However, with additional information, support for pull policies drops (by an average of -23 percentage points in the share of participants supporting the policies), while push policies gain support (+6 percentage points on average, for both revenue use/benefits and compensation packages). Remarkably, this leads to a shift in policy preferences, with three push policies and three pull policies emerging as the most popular ones in the treatment group.
