Stéphane Lemarié develops researches in economics on the innovation strategies in the seed, pesticides and agbiotech sectors. His research cover some of the following issues: what is the effect of industry structure on the economic impact of innovation? What are the effects of regulation instruments (e.g. market approval) on the incentives to innovate? How the agricultural research and extension services should be organized to promote more environmental friendly farming practices?
