Michel Trommetter

It is with deep sadness that we inform you of the loss of our colleague Michel Trommetter on January 3, 2025.
Michel was one of the founding members of GAEL, a laboratory he had never left since its creation.
A renowned expert on biodiversity-related issues, he represented INRAE in numerous international scientific bodies. He was a highly dedicated colleague, deeply committed to research and the collective interest. On a personal level, he was kind, courageous, and always willing to lend a helping hand.
In these particularly difficult times, our thoughts are with Agnès, our former colleague, and their son Guillaume. We also extend our sympathies to all those who had the opportunity to work with him and who will deeply miss Michel.
