Research engineer in econometrics
Brief description of the project and expected completion date:
The NEWCARE research project funded by the ANR from 01/01/2022 to 31/12/2025 (one-year extension) aims to describe the characteristics and interactions between healthcare staff working within care teams in the emergency department of the Grenoble University Hospital. These data are extracted (or de-siloed) from the PREDIMED clinical data warehouse (CDW) which brings together health and administrative data from patients and healthcare professionals working there. Most of the data are available over a period of 2 years and on an hourly basis. Then, the analysis of social networks should allow us to identify the modes of collaboration in place between caregivers and their ability to adapt to their environment. Methods of impact assessment and time series econometrics will make it possible to estimate the impact of organizational changes (caused either by the COVID-19 health crisis or by the move to the new technical platform) on the quality of work and the well-being of healthcare professionals.
Missions / functions performed:
The main mission of the research engineer will be to study the impact of the organization of work within the emergency department of the Grenoble University Hospital on the workload and stress at work which can then result in sick leave and / or resignations which in turn have an impact on the organization of work. The study period will also allow to analyze the role of the organizational changes that have taken place within the emergency department of the CHUGA (new technical platform, restricted access to the emergency department).

Post-doc in environmental economics: Design and experimentation on electrical energy consumption to induce flexibility
18-month fixed-term contract (renewable) to start in autumn 2024 (flexible date)
The post-doctorate is part of the FlexTase project. The Flextase project is funded under the PEPR TASE (Technologies Avancées des Systèmes Énergétiques) program. Activities linked to the production, consumption and distribution of energy account for 75% of CO2 emissions worldwide. Energy transition is therefore one of the major challenges in the fight against climate change. The aim of the research project is to encourage consumers to flexibilize their demand for electrical energy, to enable better integration of renewable energies, and to decarbonize our uses, which is necessary for the energy transition. The successful candidate will be fully integrated into the GAEL, as part of the team of experimentalists.
Mission:
The mission will involve setting up laboratory and field experiments, as well as analyzing and disseminating the results. The research conducted in this project will deal with residential electrical energy consumption, and will aim to develop and test tariff and non-tariff incentives to make demand more flexible.
You should either have a background in experimental economics, with experience of setting up experiments using nudge-type interventions, or in public policy evaluation, with knowledge and application of evaluation econometrics methods.
Research topics relating to energy or the environment would be a plus.

Post-doctoral position in economics on residential location choices.
As part of an ANR project Clim'air, the aim is to assess the impact of climate change and air pollution on residential location choices.
Contract duration: 12 months renewable
Planned start date: Autumn 2024 (flexible date)
The post-doctoral position is part of the project ‘Climate change and air pollution in an urbanized area: health and socio-economic impact of mitigation scenarios’, Clim'air, funded by the ANR - 2022-2026). The aim of ClimAir is to use an interdisciplinary approach to assess scenarios for mitigating GHG emissions and air pollution (up to 2050), as well as scenarios for adapting to climate change, in terms of their impact on air quality, human health and socio-spatial inequalities. The mitigation scenarios concern emissions associated with mobility and the residential sector, while the adaptation measures are associated with urban planning (for example, increasing albedo). Focusing on the Grenoble conurbation, this work will provide recommendations for public policies that are consistent in terms of pollution and GHG emissions. The selected candidate will be fully integrated into the project team, which includes atmospheric physicists, climatologists, epidemiologists, economists and urban planners.

Le·a doctorant·e sera localisé·e à Grenoble au sein de l’UMR GAEL. Cette thèse est adossée au projet phare du métaprogramme INRAE Systèmes Alimentaires et Santé Humaine (SYALSA) « La restauration collective comme observatoire de la transition vers une moindre consommation de viande et de ses conséquences environnementales, sanitaires et économiques sur les acteurs du système ».

♦ Mission principale : la gestion des dossiers du personnel non titulaire (stagiaires, doctorants, CDD) sur l’ensemble des tutelles de GAEL.
♦ Mission secondaire : être en appui à la gestion des déplacements et des achats sur deux des quatres tutelles du Laboratoire et participer avec les autres gestionnaires au soutien logistique des manifestations scientifiques.
